Oklahoma’s redistricting process will kick-off in early 2020 and closely mirror previous redistricting efforts.
House Speaker Charles McCall announced Wednesday he will appoint members to a bipartisan House Redistricting Committee with subcommittees focused on different regions of the state to oversee the redistricting process.
Each legislative chamber has its own redistricting committee to redraw district maps. Gov. Kevin Stitt would have to approve the final redistricting plan.
Boundaries for legislative and congressional districts are redrawn every decade following completion of the census.
