This year would have been downtown Tulsa's seventh Hop Jam. However, like fellow downtown festival Mayfest, it was cancelled this year due to coronavirus.

The festival was founded in 2014 by Hanson and its Hanson Brothers Beer Co., with the support of the McNellie’s Group, as an opportunity to showcase local brewers.

Since then, craft beers have mushroomed in popularity in Oklahoma as laws have been changed to accommodate the industry.
