Tulsa musician and renowned guitarist Tommy Tripplehorn has died at the age of 75, according a Facebook post from the Church Studio. 

Known for touring with Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and part of the "Wrecking Crew" with Leon Russell, Tripplehorn was born in Tulsa in 1944. 

He lived for a time in the "Skyhill" house along with Russell and other musicians known as part of the "Tulsa Sound."

Tripplehorn's daughter, Jeanne, is a television and film actress and former KMOD DJ.
