A 90-year-old man was one of two people taken to the hospital after colliding with another vehicle while driving the wrong way on Oklahoma 11 on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Officers received reports of a small white pickup traveling east in the westbound lanes of Oklahoma 11 near U.S. 75 about 12:20 p.m. Before they could catch up to the wrong-way driver, they were alerted to a head-on crash near Pine Street, police reported.

The driver, a 90-year-old man whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. A 59-year-old man who also suffered injuries in the collision was hospitalized with injuries that police say were not life-threatening.

The westbound lanes of Oklahoma 11 were closed while officers investigated the crash.
