OKLAHOMA CITY — Amazon said an employee at Oklahoma City's sort center has COVID-19 and is receiving medical care while recovering in quarantine.

The individual was last onsite March 18, Amazon said.

"We are supporting the affected associate during this time," said a company spokesperson. "Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of our site, we are conducting contact tracing. We will alert any associate who had close contact with this person at our building and will ask them to not return to the site and to self quarantine for 14-days, and we will pay them for their time at home."
