OKLAHOMA CITY - A 16-year-old former Edmond North High School student planned to lock school doors and use backpack bombs and a car bomb to kill students and faculty, court records show.

Matthew S. Rexwinkle reportedly told a counselor that he had studied previous mass murders and said the Columbine killers “didn’t kill enough people,” according to a warrant filed Wednesday in Oklahoma County District Court.

Rexwinkle has not been charged.

In addition to the plans, which detailed locking the doors around the Freshman Academy and cafeteria, investigators found remnants of an exploded device, backpacks, bottles and explosive components and fuses, the warrant states.
