Police in Stillwater have launched an investigation after school administrators suspended two students for allegedly talking about perpetrating violence at the junior high school.
Witnesses reported to police that they overheard the two unidentified juveniles talking about committing an act of violence, Stillwater Police Lt. Jeff Watts said in a news release.
A school resource officer received the initial information Monday afternoon about a possible threat against Stillwater Junior High School. School administrators suspended the two students after interviewing them. Their suspension is reportedly pending further investigation.
Watts said Stillwater police are conducting a criminal investigation into the allegations. Police also stationed additional officers at the school on Tuesday.
