A 13-year-old girl was injured after the propeller of a boat struck her leg at Lake Eufaula on Saturday.

A 21-foot ski boat being operated by Raymond King White, 48, of Oklahoma City was stationary when a 13-year-old girl got off the back of the boat and went into the water just before 5:30 p.m., according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

A second boat arrived. Thinking it was going to hit his boat, White put the vessel in reverse, the report states.

The propeller struck the girl in the leg. White told authorities he thought she had gotten out of the water when he put his boat in reverse, according to the report.

The girl was taken to Evergreen Marina before Southeast EMS transported her to East Star Hospital in Muskogee, where she was listed in stable condition, the report states.

The operator of the second boat left the scene, according to the report.
