Bobbie Jean Brasuell, 90, of Covington, LA, passed away on May 6, 2019. Bobbie was born on January 9, 1929 in Hitchita, OK, to James and Francis (Steele) Allison. She was born and raised in Oklahoma. Bobbie attended Hitchita High School. On January 17, 1947 Bobbie married Leo Allen Brasuell, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2012, and were happily married for sixty-five years. Bobbie was first a homemaker, but enjoyed many part time jobs. She was a country girl who enjoyed cooking and dancing. Bobbie and Leo traveled and moved often for work and returned to Tulsa in 1976 to be closer to family where she resided until July 2016 to live with her son in Madisonville, LA. Survivors include: her son, Stephen Brasuell, of Madisonville, LA; five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Brasuell; son, David Brasuell; five brothers and four sisters. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Big Arbor Baptist Church with Dr. Roley McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at McIntosh Hawkins Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
