Recently, journalist E. Jean Carroll accused President Donald Trump of rape, and in his defense, he stated, “She’s not my type.”
This is only one of many such accusations toward the president, and every time he has given similar defenses.
An innocent man would say, “What she is accusing me of is out of my personal character.”
Trump can make no such defense, and instead merely states she is not beautiful enough to be raped by him, implicitly arguing that he would rape someone if she was his type.
To the president, I would like to say misogynistic statements are not great defenses for accusations of misogyny, and I believe the women.
