Oilers release schedule
The Tulsa Oilers, affiliate of the NHL Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues, revealed their 2019-20 schedule Thursday ahead of the team’s sixth ECHL season and 12th season at the BOK Center.
The reigning Mountain Division Champions open with a homestand beginning Friday, Oct. 11 against the Kansas City Mavericks at 7:05 p.m. On Saturday, the Allen Americans visit, then the Rapid City Rush on Sunday afternoon.
All home games Monday-Saturday will start at 7:05 p.m., and Sunday games start at 4:05 p.m.
OSU wrestler Daton Fix eyes Sr. World Team spot
Oklahoma State wrestler Daton Fix takes on Thomas Gilman in a best-of-three series at Final X: Lincoln at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday. It’s the last phase of competition to qualify for the U.S. Men’s Senior Freestyle team.
Fix, a redshirt sophomore, defeated Gilman, 8-4, in the finals at the U.S. Open in April.
Parade to honor Blues
A parade 52 years in the making will finally happen Saturday in St. Louis, when the city celebrates the Blues’ first Stanley Cup title.
The Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Wednesday’s Game 7 in Boston. The Blues joined the NHL as an expansion team in 1967 and had never before won a championship.
