Defensive tackle Neville Gallimore came to OU all the way from Canada and became a starter his redshirt freshman year.

He said he is a proud Canadian and also feels like he represents his entire country when he plays.

“I feel like football has started to develop more, as well as other sports, like basketball’s starting to become a thing,” Gallimore said. “We have a few guys coming out of Canada who are able to do some things at the highest level, so … as I continue to play this and go through my years here, hopefully will continue to bring more awareness (to football). But I’m definitely happy because a lot of coaches are now taking to opportunity to fly up north to come recruit some guys, so I’m happy about that.”
