Promotions: Drillers Posters/Super Splash Day — Young fans are encouraged to wear their swimsuits to the ballpark as the splash pad will be open and there will be free water slides. Also, the Tulsa Fire Department will be on site with a huge “splash down” to keep everyone cool. Before the game, the first 500 kids will receive a Drillers poster and there will be an oil well site safety program.

All-Star lineup: For the second consecutive game, the first six batters in the Drillers’ lineup Tuesday were selections for the Texas League All-Star Game scheduled June 25 at ONEOK Field. On Monday, a seventh starter, pitcher Dustin May, also was an All-Star selection.

Roster move: Frisco lefty Joe Palumbo will pitch Wednesday — in the major leagues with the Texas Rangers, who announced Tuesday they would promote him. Palumbo has a 3.19 ERA in 11 games, including 10 starts for Frisco. He made his major league debut June 8 for Texas and then was returned to the minors.

Familiar face: Bobby Jones, the winningest manager in Drillers history, is in the Frisco dugout during this series in his role as a special assistant for the Rangers.
