Oklahoma State's Sinclaire Johnson was named the Midwest Region’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Year, it was announced Friday.

Johnson is the first Cowgirl to win the award and the first OSU athlete to get the regional honor since 2016 (Nick Miller, hammer throw).

Johnson leads the nation in the women’s 1,500 meters after running a school-record 4:09.50 at last weekend’s West Regional. She won the quarterfinals and advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin.
