I know some of my family was voting for me, but I wasn’t telling people to vote for me. I wanted it to be just about what people really thought, because I feel that’s when you truly win an award.”

Coach Matt Sweeney's quote: “She emerged as just an incredible leader for us this year. It was a different role for her, leading the team (in) assists, rebounds, blocked shots and steals and not being concerned with scoring. She’s not worried about her point total, just the point total on the scoreboard at the end of the game. She wants to win and she’ll do whatever it takes to do that.”
