Oklahoma State tennis player Lisa Marie Rioux advanced to the round of 32 at the Oracle ITA Fall Championships in Surprise, Arizona, after defeating Pennsylvania’s Luliia Bryzgalova on Wednesday.

Rioux saved three match points in the third set and rallied from four points down to get a 7-6(3), 1-6, 7-5 victory.

No. 16-seeded Sofia Blanco and Rioux lost in the doubles bracket, 7-5, 6-1 to North Texas’ Maria Kononova and Tamuna Kutubidze.

The University of Tulsa pair of Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner fell in the round of 32 to Tyler Junior College’s Maria Genovese and Anna Brogan, 6-1, 7-6(4).

TU senior and No. 39-ranked Majed Kilani lost his singles round of 64 match to Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore of Middle Tennessee State 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.
